The Knighton Shop

We have a 'real' shop in Knighton, Mid Wales just on the Powys/Shropshire border, where you can come and browse all our yarns and patterns. We love to meet our customers so come and say hi and we will put the kettle on!

We are based up the hill to the left of the clocktower, parking is available for 20 minutes at the clocktower or if you think you may be longer there is a car park at the top of town in Market Street. Follow main road through town and turn left up Norton street. Please be aware we are in a hilly location and advise parking in Market street as its a little easier to walk down.

Tuesday to Friday 10.00am - 4.30pm

Saturdays - 10am - 4pm

Woolly Shows

A few times a year we take the shop on the road!

First will be Wonderwool Wales which runs at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells, on the 9th & 10th April please note the Knighton shop will be closed as we take a large amount of stock with us.

Knit n Knatter

Come and join us on one of our knitting groups. We are a friendly, lively bunch of knitters from our beginners to experts ! We meet to chat about eveything and anything and show off our latest knits. Its a fab chance to pick up the sticks and get started or learn new techniques or just for inspiration!

Monday nights 6pm - 9pm - 1st Monday of the month when we meet at the George and Dragon on the High Street

Thursday mornings 10am - 1pm - Children welcome

We have tea, coffee, biscuits and homemade cake (usually Thursdays!) There is no charge, or joining fee just come and enjoy the social side to knitting.

Who's who

Lisa & Diana

Lisa is a fairly new knitter who gets so carried away with new yarn deliveries she has more WIP’s than anyone else we know. Diana is her Mum and try's to control Lisa’s knitting obsession, the experienced knitter and chief finisher (for everyone else !) and is always on hand with the kettle.

You may also find John who helps out in the shop. We are trying to teach him to knit, but he much prefers to steal all the hand knitted sock samples.

Kirsty works on Mondays and Claire works on Saturdays both can also be found covering our holidays, they are brilliant knitters and full of ideas for your next project!
